Jigglypuff

Jigglypuff is in some ways a joke character, but that does not mean we don’t want her to be good. She was pretty mediocre so she got a lot of help.

Most of her changes improve on her aerial focused gameplay, but she also sees some special help. The Mystery Gift is one of the most radical changes in Balanced Brawl, but it gives her an answer to the types of characters who have always been such a problem for her while simultaneously fitting perfectly with her light hearted nature.

The rebalanced Jigglypuff may be sillier than ever, but she’s also better than ever!

Balanced Brawl Bonus: Mystery Gift

  • Jigglypuff’s side taunt creates items in her hand. Half of the time it makes a Smoke Ball, and the other half is divided between Mr. Saturn, Springs, Hotheads, Pitfalls, and Freezies.

Other Major Changes

  • Rollout’s helpless spinning state can now be canceled after a while, no more forced suicides.
  • Rollout’s turn around animation can be canceled with a pivot grab.
  • Her aerial game is improved with buffs to neutral aerial, up aerial, back aerial, and Pound.
  • Down smash and dash attack are more effective KO moves.
  • Up throw does 1% more damage.
  • Fake Rest added (hold attack button while doing Rest).
  • Jab combo now links properly.
  • Sing can now hit during more of its animation.
