Kirby is another robust character with only a few minor matchup problems.
As a general buff Kirby has inherited improved versions of all buffed neutral specials for other characters. Copy itself also does 10% damage now, equal to spitting an enemy out. Futher consider that Copy is now generally safe, and Kirby will have a lot more reason to be using his special powers. Stone has also been given a decent strength boost, which helps a surprising amount in Kirby’s worst matchups.
Otherwise, Kirby hasn’t changed much; even his low damage chain throws are untouched!
Balanced Brawl Bonus: Copying Your Balanced Brawl Bonus
Balanced Brawl changes to neutral specials in general also apply to Kirby’s Copy version with a few powers being even better. Copy itself now does 10% damage and is safe for Kirby to use.
Other Major Changes
Jab combo now links properly.
Neutral aerial now hits more favorably and ends more quickly.
Up throw now does 1% more damage.
Aerial Hammer Swing can now grab ledges from the front after the first hit.
Stone generally hits harder.
