Lucario was never bad, but his aura mechanics demanded special attention. Since many of the weaker characters got increased KO power, Lucario needed some help to make sure he didn’t fall behind.

Lucario saw a lot of small power upgrades to a lot of his moves. This effectively gives him the power of high aura earlier. He also sees Double Team made somewhat more useful; it was a move that was essentially never worth using before so improvement could really be interesting.

All around, Lucario has a lot going for him in Balanced Brawl; there’s little worry that he’s falling behind.

Balanced Brawl Bonus: Evasion Clause

  • Double Team’s counterattack is now unblockable.

Other Major Changes

  • Dash attack, forward tilt, down tilt, and all smashes do 1% more damage each.
  • Force Palm’s projectile is now more powerful.
